It mimics a natural wood beam and is fire resistant allowing zero clearance above your firebox.

Perfection Stone is manufactured stone made with all natural, earth ingredients from a recipe that has been used for more than 50 years. We use some of the lightest aggregate on the market. For example, our 6′ x 4″ x 12″ stone fireplace mantle weighs just over 60 lbs. compared to natural stone which weighs almost 300 lbs.
